What Is Commissioning Weekend?

In The Salvation Army, Commissioning is when newly trained Salvation Army officers are ordained, commissioned, and appointed to their first ministry assignments. It’s a beautiful combination of a graduation ceremony, ordination service, and missional sending-out, all focused on worship and God’s calling.

This weekend also includes celebrations for youth, families, cultural groups, and our broader Salvation Army community.
